Great views for Sunset - does require going down rock steps. Very limited parking.
Walk down to the overlook from the parking lot and see a beautiful view of Chattanooga and Lookout Valley.
Great view of the Western mountains, especially beautiful at sunset. Requires about a 5 minute walk down a rocky path from the street to the viewpoint. Hiking trails accessible from the viewpoint!
It’s a great hike, amazing views, goes from Point Park to Chattanooga Nature Center

“A paved green way that stretches along the Tennessee River, through downtown and out to the Chickamauga Dam. Your closest access point is behind Crust Pizza and Trailhead Juice off Broad Street in St. Elmo. You can run or stroll, push a stroller or rent a bike. Bike rentals: bikechattanooga.com and battlefield-outdoors.com/.”
“North Chattanooga is a vibrant area near the Tennessee River. This neighborhood ranks high on the walkability scale, and has plenty of great activities, shops and restaurants . The people are friendly, and the residential areas of North Chatt are nice and quiet in the evenings. ”
“Casual pizza & ice cream, across from Incline at the bottom of Lookout Mtn ”
“It’s in an amazing building of restored horse and streetcar barns smack dab in the middle of all the happening stuff downtown. Close to the Aquarium, IMAX, Lookouts ball park, Riverboat, riverfront, movie theater, and all of the very walkable area. Also on the free electric shuttle route (check shuttle hours though). They have great food and drinks, pool tables, and they brew their own variety of soft drinks and beers. ”
