The castle of Palamidi towers over the town of Nafplio. You can drive up there or you can climb the 999 steps. The view is simply amazing.

The Fortress is built at the top of Palamidi Hill. The Fortress built during 1711 ‑ 1715 by the Venetian Agostino Sagredo (district governor) It consisted of a complex of bastions with water reservoirs, warehouses of ammunition and food and barracks. You can enjoy the view of Argolis Plain from the castle.
