Even if the swimming doesn't impress you (waves are 3-inches high), the view of islands and boats and oyster bed flags is worth a look. Grab a few raw oysters at Ripka's, fresh from the beds just 50 yards out.

Huge beach with a brand new dock to walk out on, take night time strolls, bring a bottle of wine and a blanket and go sit and enjoy the water of long island sound, grab something to eat at the beach cafe right there or walk the trail around. Also a skateboard park open during the day.
