Our personal favorite in RI. More of a local’s beach, with crystal blue water and parking (if you get there before 9am on a weekend).

Walk down to the breachway for scenic views or fishing off the rocks.

Charlestown Breachway is a state-owned beach. It's a great beach that is next to the breachway (the inlet for Ninigret Pond). You'll find some great shore break and overall a great family beach. The facilities here are limited to bathrooms so you'll have to pack some food if you plan on staying the day. Parking fills up very quickly so getting in line before the lot even opens is your best bet. There's a sign 2 miles before the entrance to the beach that will let you know if parking is full so you don't have to make the drive all the way down.
