Place to eat
The most famous après ski bar. From 5pm it can get very lively with live music and lots and lots of Swedes. Every day except Sunday.
This is the old favourite any time of the year – opposite the train station in Chamonix, with happy hour and live bands covering all the classics that get the crowd dancing on the tables during aprés ski. In the daytime this bar is transformed into a cosy restaurant with checked table clothes and…
in the winter, the band from 6 pm is great! All the old rock classics and a pretty rowdy atmosphere!
Great après-skis here, often packed during the season but if you're not scared getting crushed a bit you should try it yhen there's a Live concert.
“A very popular restaurant on the Route du Moulin in the centre of Chamonix. With a mix of traditional French and Scandinavian cooking, spiced with Asian influences. Make sure to book ahead!”
“Bar with great atmosphere and good food (I like the burgers with criss cross fries). If you want to go for dinner, it is best to book.”
“It’s one of the “go to” places for bar food, and drink. Sitting outside in winter under the heated parasols in winter, or soaking up the sun in summer. ”
“The best italian food in Chamonix, at least in our book. Delicious pizzas, pastas, vitello tonato and traditional desserts. We've always been able to get a table without a reservation but if you're a party of 4 or more, it's better to reserve in advance, especially if you'd like to have dinner by the river. Take-away is also available.”
“Chamonix's 2 Michelin star offering, absolutely exquisite french cuisine. Either splash out on dinner or check locally for better value lunch deals. Often the restaurant runs a spa package with use of the spa in the morning followed by a 4 course tasting menu with wine for around 100euro pp”
