If you're visiting San Marcos La Laguna, visiting Cerro Tzankujil is a must! Here you can unwind and read a book, cliff dive, explore what were once ceremonial grounds of the indigenous people, and go Kayaking. The views cannot be beat and the water is stunning!

For a small entrance fee you can climb the path that winds through the forest to the top. Great views on the lake and on the village. Also a wooden platform made to stick out over the lake. Daredevils will dive down into the lake!

This is a small nature reserve on the hill just minutes walking from center of town. It is a must-see in San Marcos! Beautiful trails (about an hour walk round trip). Here you can also jump off the "trampoline" (a high deck you can jump off into the water).
