Great beach to visit. Take your own towel etc with. Sea can be rough at Onrus beach, so be careful when swimming there. There is a beach bar at Onrus beach and a restaurant. Both lovely to visit.

Onrus Beach is a lovely beach in the holiday town of Onrus, near Hermanus in the Western Cape. While lying in the warm white sand, beach-goers can enjoy marvellous views of the surrounding mountains and Atlantic Ocean. The beach is located next to a warm, calm lagoon, making it superb for family outings. The little ones can enjoy paddling in the safe waters of the lagoon, while older kids and adults can brave the chilly waters of the sea. The beach is also fantastic for surfing, sunbathing, and swimming. The Milkwood restaurant overlooks the beach and is a great spot for filling empty bellies and nursing cocktails as the sun sets. There are also toilets and plenty of parking.

Our closest beach and our favourite. Beautiful to walk, explore the rockpools or swim in either the lagoon or sea. Have to swim in the areas demarcated by Life savers.

Closest Beach - lovely grass banks, fair size beach, lagoon and rocks
