Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre
A nice set of hiking trials, suspension bridge (free) and some nice pools along the creek.
This is another Suspension Bridge but its free. There is cliff diving further down the path, but be careful many have got hurt even died.
“Capilano Suspension Bridge crosses to towering evergreens, cedar-scented rainforest air and Treetops Adventure, 7 suspended footbridges offering views 110 feet above the forest floor. Cliffwalk follows a granite precipice along Capilano River with a labyrinth-like series of narrow cantilevered bridges, stairs and platforms and only 16 anchor points in the cliff supporting the structure! ”
“The Quay itself has a market similar to Granville Island’s. In addition, if you have kids, right beside the Quay there is a giant outdoor area covered from the rain called The Shipyards. In the winter they turn it into an ice rink, and the spring, summer and fall, it’s an open paved area with small gas fires to warm up at and various fun things to play (eg. Basketball, ping pong). Restaurant patios and coffee shops line the area. ”
“This area has some of the best mountain biking and hiking trails on the North Shore. ”
“Hang with the locals at this laid back neighborhood breakfast place. This is where Lynn Valley goes for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Cozy homey ambience with a small patio & a menu of breakfast standards including waffles & eggs Benedict. Watch the hours though: open only morning to afternoon. ”
