The centre of Canadian Government you'll want to check our Parliament Hill. There are some great views of the River from here.

This is the #1 place to check out . You can not come to the capital without visiting the Parliament Hill. Even with the construction and renovations going on there’s still a lot to see. The architecture is amazing , due to COVID inside tour may still be on hold but you can walk around and take lots of pictures.
