“St. Lawrence Gap is filled with fantastic restaurants and bars. Whether you're looking for a seaside dining experience, a casual family night out or fine dining, 'The Gap' as we locals call it, has a variety of options! For Breakfast: Check out Bliss Cafe. Their menu filled with great breakfast options like flat bread toasties, paninis, waffles and egg platters. They are also well known for their amazing picturesque milkshakes like the Raspberry Ripple Crumble and Toasted Coconut Caramel. For casual/semi-dressy dining I personally would recommend: The Dive (great seafood and fast food - especially the Lobster Mac and Cheese!) Cocktail Kitchen (amazing local delicacies like breadfruit, local fish, and pigtails) Apsara has beautiful seaside seating options (wonderful Indian cuisine, curries and dahl are a must) For Fine Dining: Primo, also has seaside options (menu varies with seafood, local delicacies, pasta, etc.) For fabulous drinks: Cafe Sol (a mexican restaurant with daily drink specials - all day!) Hal's Bar (locally owned bar with drinks worth the money) For a night out on the town: McBrides (always a good vibe, with nightly party themes) The Gap has the stunning Dover Beach which has clear waters for swimming. It's easy to find beach chairs and umbrellas for rent onsite. There are also mini local shops and bars located on the beach, so you can grab a rum punch or our local beer - Banks Beer - while enjoying the sand, sea, and sun! If you like outdoor activities, I recommend checking out Barry's surf school, which offers surfing classes and surfboard rentals also located in The Gap. There is also E-Bike Adventures which offers some amazing e-bike scenic experiences on the South Coast of the island. The Dover Market located a little ways after the beach, offers fresh fruit, toiletries, medicine. It is a convenience store. For large and economical shopping, we recommend Trimart or Massy which are less than a 5 minute drive away.”
