If the Roses are in bloom-you are in luck. if they aren't-still a great place to take a picnic lunch and relax. Right near NC State University.

This spot is a great place to bring a bottle of wine and a picnic lunch. Sit among the roses, throw a frisbee. (Bonus - its right next to Raleigh Little Theatre - catch a local play!)

I use to visit these gardens a lot when I was in college. It is located at NC State and is a cute area filled with roses when they are in season.
