Gorgeous spot to enjoy drinks on the lawn and to watch the sunset. You can also take a cliff walk that walks around the point and you can see the ocean and several large homes!

This classic Maine Inn sits in a superb location on the stunning Prout's Neck peninsula in Scarborough. The large outdoor dining area overlooks the water on the west side. After enjoying a meal or drinks on the spacious deck, leave your car in the Inn's parking lot (parking is nearly impossible in this area if you don't park/eat/drink at the Inn) and take a walk on the Winslow Homer path, which encircles the perimeter of the neck. The entrance to the path can be found by walking to the end of the parking lot and turning left on the road that leads down to the water. On the right is a pump house which marks the entrance to the path. It takes about an hour to complete the full circle.

As fancy as you like but i showed up in beach garb and felt completely welcomed.Ask the bellman to take you up in Maine's oldest elevator to the cupola , fantastic view !

Great bar room and outside dining with views towards Old Orchard Beach and, on a clear day, Mount Washington. Impeccable service. There's also a more chi-chi restaurant if you want to dress up.

Black Point Inn, Scarborough Maine & Cliff Walk. In order to access their cliff walk, you must be a guest, or dining, at the Inn. We go for a late breakfast… and often I don’t want to leave. Outside seating, overlooking the ocean, beautiful gardens, big roaring fireplace, enclosed porch loaded with white wicker. It’s a dream. After you eat, and lounge for a while, ask them how to get to the cliff walk…. And don’t skip it if you’re feeling full and sleepy after your Bloody Mary! It’s a fantastic walk. It takes you past Winslow Homer’s painting studio. As you walk, you can almost see his paintings coming to life in front of you. www.blackpointinn.com
