Probably the most picturesque park in all of Washington. Nestled in the heart of Capitol Hill, Lincoln Park is actually designated a National Park! Lovely place to have a picture, let your dog run around, have fun with the kids with the two separate playgrounds, take a jog around the perimeter.
Great place to go for a stroll and watch neighborhood activity. Lincoln Park is the largest Capitol Hill Park and features monuments to two of the nation's greatest leaders, President Abraham Lincoln and Civil Rights Activist and Educator Mary McLeod Bethune.
“The neighborhood pretzel bakery is a hidden gem in our neighborhood. Head on over in the morning and you are bound to find families and dogs hanging out in this bakery across from a local grade school. It has great pretzels and is quite the popular hangout for locals.”
“Amazing locally made gelato! For coffee drinkers, try the affogato - one scoop of your choice of gelato + a shot of espresso.”
“Terrific little coffee shop with great pastries in a great location. Close to metro station.”
“Barracks Row has tons of great food options. Our current favorite is the Chinese-Korean place called Chiko. We also like Matchbox (family friendly pizza), and Nooshi (for take-out and dine-in Chinese / Indonesian fare). ”
