Townsite, the original town site, sports the oldest working movie theatre in Canada and the Townsite brewery for delicious local IPA beer. Get up close to the paper mill, the reason Powell River exists. Right next to Powell River, the shortest river in Canada and maybe the world.

A craft beer brewery in a historic Townsite building par excellence! Friends Chloe and Cedric run this fabulous tasting room (she manages, he brews) and it's a must if you love beer. Recipient of multiple awards Cédric loves experimenting with many di erent varieties of ingredients and strains of yeast which are showcased in their diverse line up. Some of which you can drink year round or on a seasonal basis while others are more rare and daring. Some of our favs: Perfect Storm an oatmeal stout, Pow Town a porter, Shiny Penny a Belgian IPA and if you're lucky to be here for it, Lil’ Red 3.0 Wile Ale Blend with brettanomyces!
