是里斯本必游的景点之一。但就贝伦塔本身来说，是一座用于防御特茹河口的堡垒，是16世纪初扼守里斯本门户的军事要塞。而其独特的外观，使其成为最上镜的景点之一。在各个角度拍摄的贝伦塔，都带人们一种新的视角。历史上贝伦塔曾被用作各种需要，如海关、电报站、灯塔和监狱等，但最重要的，应该还是在大航海时代时的航海家们的起点。所以说贝伦塔是葡萄牙的象征，是非常恰当的。贝伦塔附近还有许多著名的景点，如热罗尼莫斯修道院、航海纪念碑、4月25日大桥等，可以说，里斯本最热门的景点几乎都在此了。
