The Avon Cinema is an old single theater movie house that has not been updated. They tend to play movies that aren't showing anywhere else. Sadly, the sound system and seats are not great. The Cinema is located on Thayer Street in the middle of a bustling shopping and dining area dominated by the college crowd.

Great older theatre in the heart of college hill, plays mostly limited release and independent films.

Great Single Art/alternative theater smack in the middle of bustling Thayer Street. Old theater with all of it's original charm. Grab a bite at any of the dozens of food joints right outside it's door. We love Andreas ( right next door~ awesome Greek food) and Kabob and Curry ( right across the street).

This is a small independent movie theater that shows super cool movies! It's also right on Thayer, so you can be part of the hustle and bustle of college life!
