Head through the phone booth in Crif Dogs to find this legendary cocktail lounge. It’s easy to lose track of time in the intimate space with a low wooden ceiling and dark brick walls. They excel at all the classics, but you’ve got to try their take on the old-fashioned with bacon-infused bourbon and real maple syrup. Ridiculous. Delicious. Call ahead to make a reservation to ensure entry to this small cocktail den, and when you show up for your reservation, don't be afraid to cut the line––they'll only hold your coveted spot for a few minutes!

Patrons who enter through a phone booth in Crif Dogs next door sip novel cocktails in a dark space. Definitely an experience! Be warned this place is popular! Get in early.

Criff Dogs—a hot dog joint—was an institution even before PDT (Please Don't Tell) came onto the scene. It's one of the best bars in the city for fantastic cocktails dreamed up by owner Jim Meehan, whose book of recipes has brought good, old fashioned cocktails back into the modern lexicon. Plus, there are deluxe hot dogs on the menu to accompany your drinks. It's a tiny, dark space, and the setting is intimate on purpose, so it can be hard to get a seat. Drop by early to put your name on the list—they're great about giving you a call when a table is available.
