Solastranden is a 2,3 km long beach close to the airport. It is one of the most popular beaches in the Stavanger region, and a well used spot for wind- and watersports. Also, Sola Golfcourse is found just south of the Solastranden beach. Traces of WWII structures can be seen in the southern end of the beach. With own car or rented car: the beach is only 2 kilometres from Stavanger International Airport and around 15 kilometres from Stavanger. By bus: From Stavanger Flybussen (airport bus) From Sandnes bus number 42. Note! Nearest bus stop is 1,5 kilometres from the beach. Solastranden is a 2.3-kilometer-long sandy beach in Norway, located 2-kilometer from Stavanger Airport, Sola and 15-kilometer from Stavanger. The beach is a popular beach for swimming and sunbathing in the summer. Windsurfing and surfing are popular all-year-round activities at Solastranden. Sola Strand Hotel that also houses toilets and dressing room facilities is at the south end of the beach. A farm beach resort also offers dining and banquet facilities. There are also traces of German military activity from World War II. Sola Golfcourse is nearby the beach.
