Gjusta is possibly the best modern deli in the city, if not the country. If you go, prepare to have to work to make your order—but once you taste how good it is, all the frustration of getting it will slip away. It's hard for us not to recommend everything, but the smoked fish platters and flaky pastries keep us coming back, even if it means overhearing Venice's actors and musicians at the bar.

All day Bakery/Eatery from the Gjelina crew. Fantastic sourdough bread, pastries, smoked fish and meats, cheese and meat deli, condiments, drinks....

If you can get past the hipster scene and expensive food here, you’ll treat yourself to the best cured and smoked fish (herbed lox and white fish) and meats (prosciutto, panchetta, etc..) in Venice... along with their delicious bread (sourdough, sliced), pastries (tahini croissant!), coffees, pizza bread, salads (check in counter) and all their main dishes. An often unknown dinner option exists here, too, with a smaller menu but slightly better value!

It's sceney af and certainly a place to see and be seen - plus the food is unbelievably good. You stand in line to order, and frankly, the line is absolute chaos. However, once you get your food you'll be so happy to eat it. It's delicious. Fresh breads and smoked fish are the things to order.

Another fantastic food scene! Be prepared to wait, but worth it! STRONG coffee.. artisan baked goods and breakfast options. Really simple but delicious meals... open for dinner as well... but outdoor seating only! Their breakfast bialy sandwiches are my favorite!
