Not quite a mountain, but an elevation that gives you a great view of the city. There is a rather tatty cafe where you can get a coffee or a snack. If you’d like something more substantial, there is the Summit Restaurant and Bar, modern Australian dining with a panoramic view of the city. The Lookout is a popular place to watch the full moon rise, and many will take a pizza and sit on the lawn to watch. If you are more adventurous, there are many paths that you can walk up to the Lookout through the Mt Coot-Tha forest. We are happy to give you directions. Can I suggest you try and go twice - certainly during the day so you can see Brisbane. Actually, throw in your walking shoes too and try one or more of the bush trails. Please, go at night too - the view of the city at night is unbeatable.
