Really great hiking trails, especially after the rainy season we've recently had. The habitat is lush and green. The trails can get steep in a few locations, but if you're up for the hike you'll end up seeing an awesome view of Los Angeles and the surrounding cities. I highly recommend that if you are hiking during the summer, or hotter temperatures to go during the morning hours or early evening to avoid the hottest times of the day :)

Old little movie theater in the Uptown... great if you can catch a movie on Tuesdays or Thursdays when all movies show for $5, and popcorn and drinks are something crazy like $2! Very "Budget Friendly" :)

Essentials
It's 3 miles from our home... but Trader Joe's is pretty "essential" grocery shopping if you ask me! Great prices, great selection of food choices, and the staff is most always super friendly and personable which makes me feel at home.

It's Target... another "essential" what more can I say :). We prefer this location on Whittwood Lane because we think it's nicer and there's LOTS of familiar restaurants & shopping surrounding that's very convenient.
