The National botanical gardens are simply stunning. One of my favourite spots in Cape Town. A wonderful way to relax amidst nature with a picnic basket, wine and some friends. Also good for concerts.

Right along the beach promenade, a 3 min walk from our house, lies this colonial institution. It’s great for drinks/lunch and quick bites on the front terrace, but also wonderful for a quick breakfast;/coffee stop after a promenade run. They also do a great Sunday Jazz brunch.
It’s even a stop along the bus route for the Sightseeing tour bus,
making it the nearest stop (Winchester Mansions) you would hop off as well to get to back to the house if ever you decide to do a tour of the Atlantic seaboard by bus.
