There are multiple trail heads all through Austin too enter into Austin's greenbelt that flows through city & empties into Lady Bird Lake. Gus Fruh, Twin Falls & Hill of Life are a few of my personal favorites!

Family owned Krause Springs, has a natural swimming hole that has beautiful waterfall, Rope swing, & cliff for jumping off...as well as a pool with natural water. Camping too. It's a bit of a drive, but well worth it!

Spring Fed Pool just west of downtown. Open on Thursdays when Barton Springs is closed for cleaning...Also, great for little ones because the shallow end slopes into pool. Lap end too for the serious swimmer.
