This is a suggestion for the more adventurous. The twelve apostles is along the Great Ocean Road - a very beautiful strip of road that is a couple of hours away from Melbourne CBD. The whole trip really does require a good day to do it; but is something quite different to experience.

The botanic gardens is the closest gardens to the apartment, only 5 minutes walk away. It's always very pleasant there and there's a lovely place that you can get afternoon tea inside.

The art gallery is a great all year-rounder cause you can always walk in and experience the free exhibits or check out whatever specialist exhibition is on at the time. Otherwise, the apartment is in the heart of the Arts Precinct so there's also the Arts Centre, Hamer Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre, Southbank Theatre, Malthouse Theatre, ACCA all in 10 minutes walking distance. Worth checking out what's on during your stay!

The closest convince store to the apartment is the IGA which will have everything that you need. It is a little bit more expensive than a normal supermarket, so if you want that, you'll have to go into the city (10 minutes walk away)
