Food Scene
We love our neighborhood for a lot of reasons, but being able to walk to all these amazing restaurants and bars is one of them! We lived in this house off and on for 20 years so we have tested out most of the local spots and wanted to share our favs with you!
This is a great local sushi spot. Not the nicest place in town but good sushi and walking distance from the house. It is our favorite spot when we are craving sushi. My favorite is the Leo Love you Long Time.

Great if you like fruit! They do fruit salads that are fresh and amazing. They also do great smoothies. Kind of a hole in the wall but super great fruit! The locals favorite.

Family Friendly if you get a spot on the patio. This is a great anytime of day place. Awesome outdoor patio that is the center of town so fun to sit out there in the late afternoon and evening and have dinner and drinks.

This place is said to have the best coffee in San Diego. They have great front and back patios as well as great indoor seating. Free WiFi. Great place to study or just hang out and people watch.

This is the best fast mexican food in San Diego. Well known by the locals. For a quick bit of the best mexican, it is a couple minute drive from the house.

Best Mexican within walking distance. GREAT Tacos but watch out, they are really big. The menu is simple and the Tequila menu is twice the size of the food menu. The Margaritas are fantastic. Really we go there for the Tequila and the food is a bonus. Rough to have kids at this place though. Just and FYI.

We love to order takeout from this place. Not the best place to eat in but the food is great and it is only a couple blocks from the house so you can call it in and then walk over to pick it up. Great food!

Kid Friendly for sure! This place offers Ice Cream flights. So little servings of ice cream so you can try all sorts of flavors and giver your toddler a tiny ice cream perfect for them as well.

Nice sit down with incredible locally grown food! It is at the Fashion Valley Mall so it is a great place to eat before you hit the stores.

Entertainment & Activities
The zoo is great. Sometimes they keep it open late during the summer and that is my favorite time to go. Afternoon and into the evening. Cooler, and the animals seem more active.
