Gawler Garden Retreat

A brand new, private 2-bedroom retreat in Evanston, in beautiful historic Gawler - the oldest country town in South Australia & gateway to Barossa Valley. Light-filled lounge with serene garden views, full kitchen, 2 comfortable bedrooms and plenty of storage. Breakfast provisions included on arrival. Modern bathroom /laundry. Fast internet, Smart TV (Netflix, Fetch). Relax in the garden, explore parks along the river. Shops: 3min drive, Adelaide CBD & beaches: only 40min drive (N Express Way).

King Suite

The King Suite is a 3 bedroom stone and brick circa 1905 home. It features high ceilings and an ornate passageway. The home has ducted heating and cooling to all rooms. There is a spa bath in the main bathroom and if required we can open the second bathroom for limited mobility wheelchair guests. There is a outdoor deck area with BBQ for entertaining. Large smart TV in the lounge room and functional modern kitchen. Wi-Fi is complimentary. Large refrigerator and continuous flow hot water service.

1880 True Blue Guest Wing

We purchased this charming 1880’s Victorian Bluestone property in 2017 which was in desperate need of a restoration. Forward to 2024 and she is fully restored. We have a unique, self-contained Guest Wing, which runs off the main house and this is the space that we would love to offer as a private B&B. The location is perfect, the train station is a 150 metre walk to the end of our street, which makes it super easy to go into Adelaide CBD and enjoy any number of SA Festivals and Sporting Events.

OVENDEN LODGE offers dog-friendly accommodation, in a self-contained "granny flat" surrounded by open paddocks at the southern entrance to historic Gawler. With its ponies, birds and chickens, it is a quiet, private retreat for 1-2 adults, complete with cedar hot tub and sauna. Unfortunately, due to the ponds and animals on the property, Ovenden Lodge is NOT suited for children. Dogs and ponies are welcome by individual prior arrangement.
