Country cottage built from two 40-foot, shipping containers. One-bedroom, full kitchen and bath, covered parking on Tennessee's Eco-Rich Cumberland Plateau. Hike miles of wooded trails. It's a short walk to our 50-foot waterfall. Disclaimer: Waterfall flow is subject to fluctuations in temperature, seasonal droughts, & rainfall. Most favorable seasons for waterfall flow are fall, winter & early spring". Located across a breezeway from the main house. Dedicated covered parking for one car.

This quiet retreat perched on the Cumberland Plateau gives you access to the hikes and waterfalls the area is known for, while offering an elevated guest experience. Sewanee University, Cumberland Caverns, Fiery Gizzard, and Sweetens Cove are all within a short drive. Sorry, no parties, events, or photoshoots.

Sunflower shores is a true log cabin, in a small neighborhood built on the shores of a clean quiet lake in Middle Tennessee. Relax, unwind, have coffee or cocktails on the deck. Swim, fish, take out the canoe or kayak, birdwatch, hike in nearby Savage Gulf or Fall Creek Falls. Go to Chattanooga, take in the sights and come back for an evening by the outdoor fire ring, or inside fireplace. Pick apples at the local orchard or buy Amish goods from the local farms. We offer a location where you can get away to just relax, enjoy the views and fish in our well stocked pond. But if you’re more adventurous, there are local areas for hiking, repelling, atv riding and cave exploring, all within a short driving distance. Some of these include Stone Door State Park, Greeter Falls, Fiery Gizzard trail, The Caverns music venue and cave tours, and Cumberland Caverns. There is also golfing available at 6 locations within an hours drive or less!

The Trail House is perfectly placed among the trees with many tall windows to take advantage of the gorgeous views. The large 2-tiered deck has two separate sitting areas. Hike, bike, cave, kayak, fish, swim at the base of the waterfalls or sit and relax. Do it all, do absolutely nothing, or a little of both here at the Trail House.
