8 + acres w/ Fully Private separate entry facing pond & lake ,one bedroom with queen bed, living room with queen pull out couch , TV etc, dining room, full kitchen, and bathroom is wheelchair accessible, host main house above, Summer: kayaks and canoes , fishing, ducks & pond , full gardens. Pizza night is every Saturday . Winter: snow shoes skating, ice fishing ,curling ,lots of winter activities. Cozy, bright, yurt in a private forest area. Walking distance to the cheese factory (ice cream, lunches, snacks), produce stands, and a park. Short drive to Madoc (groceries, beer/ LCBO, parks, beach, library, bakery, restaurants, etc). Perfect area for star gazing, long walks & bike rides. This yurt is in a camping setting, with indoor compost toilet, no shower or wifi but there is electricity, dishes, indoor hot plate, BBQ, mini fridge, all pots & pans and bedding and clean drinking water.

Guests have their own cozy studio apartment, which is private and located on the ground floor with their own entrance. It does not include the entire cabin. Christine's Log Cabin is directly across from the beautiful Petroglyphs Provincial Park (May-Oct); however, you can hike all year long, even with the gates closed, and also down the road to Stoney Lake with full access to a public beach (May-Oct). Perfect getaway any time of the year.

Off Grid Cabin, knitter’s retreat!

Our goal is to be sustainable on an acre & 1/2! We have 4 sheep 1 dog 2 cats and a bunch of chickens! The cabin is powered by solar enough for lights and cell phone charging. It is heated by a mini woodstove. Wood and drinking water provided! We process the wool and spin and knit items for sale here! Thank you for helping us reach our goal❤️
