Standard Japanese-Style Room. Best for a family or travel with friends. (Maximum of 4 people) This room has Wide-Extended View of Mt.Fuji. Wash-basin is inside the room. This washitsu* has a Japanese low table and zabutons* on tatami* flooring,shoji* screen. You sleep on futons* lay on the tatami and sit directly on the tatami or on zabutons set on the tatami. We are a smoke-free hostel. All rooms are no smoking. Our private room features 1 or 2 futon beds on traditional tatami floors. The shared areas include bathrooms, dining space and a work/lounge/library area. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji. We renovated an 80 years old wooden house to create a place that allows our guests to experience time and space through carefully selected art, design and objects, mixing traditional Japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.
