Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

There are wooden deck besides living space, you will have relaxing time at the wooden deck with garden view. Electric bikes are rent for free. We have 2 houses,the house is next door, 7 people can stay at onetime. If you would like to, please make reservation from A&B.

'SAIGU' is a distinctly quaint 120-year-old Kyoto Machiya in the north-west area of Kyoto city. In 2010, the house was carefully and lovingly restored to its original beautiful style. It has four bedrooms so can accommodate 4 people comfortably, or 8 people max. The house is about 92 square meters.
