Our home is situated in a central neighbourhood in the beautiful town of Harrismith, boasting with views of our scenic Platberg over the many treetops. We have two selfcatering units on our property, Protea Plekkie/Place (this listing, 4 guests max) and Protea Hoekie/Corner (seperate listing, 2 guests). Ideal for overnight stop when traveling the N3 or N5, or for a comfortable longer stay when visiting our area for business or leisure. Eastern Freestate charm is found in abundance around here!

Drakensberg, Champagne Sports, Faraway Cottage

The perfect romantic getaway! A unique beautifully decorated, well equipped, country style cottage tucked away in a stunning garden. Serviced daily by our helpful and friendly staff. Perfectly located within Champagne Sports Resort with full use of all the hotel amenities. WiFi is available in and around the hotel, golf club house and business centre but not in the cottage . Highlights are the valley bakery , brewery, cycle routes and walks are abundant in the Drakensberg World Heritage site.

Ouma's se plekkie

This is a 1 bedroom self-catering suite is attached to the main house. It is situated in the KZN Midlands just out of Mooi River. Our picturesque valley that has a meandering stream and a river frontage. The house, cottages and garden are surrounded by an electric fence . We offer both self-catering and bed and breakfast options. The suite has lovely views of the area. It is close to the Drakensberg, Midlands Meander, Midmar Dam, Treveton Schools, Weston College and the polo cross venue.

Country stay

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space, situated on the picturesque Midlands Meander route. . This cottage can accommodate up to 2 guests and comprises a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with a double bed, shower, toilet and a basin. Orchard Manor Unit 2

Orchard Manor Unit 2, making up one wing of the Manor, is separated into three large rooms of which two are en suite bedrooms. The main bedroom contains a king sized bed and bathroom with bath and shower. The second bedroom has 4 singles and a bathroom with a bath/shower combination. The third room contains an open plan lounge and dining room. There is also a fully equipped kitchenette. There is a beautiful outdoor braai area, looking on to Cathkin and Champagne Castle mountain peaks.

Cathkin Peak Cottage

A blissful, comfortable cottage nestled in the heart of the Central Drakensberg. This cozy accommodation boasts breathtaking views of Cathkin Peak and Champagne, as well as the surrounding mountain range. It's located near all the major hiking routes, making exploration an easy step out the door. The cottage itself is equipped with a fully functioning kitchenette, bathroom, lounge, private patio, bedroom, and entertainment room. Perfect for a single, couple, or small family.

Clivia Hill Guest Cottage

Clivia Hill, on Bell Park Dam in the Central Drakensberg region of KwaZulu-Natal, offers self-catering or bed & breakfast accommodation in a tranquil, scenically beautiful setting. The thatched guest cottage overlooks the dam, and comprises a living area with open-plan kitchen and three double bedrooms, each with its own bath/shower-room adjacent or en suite. The two upper bedrooms open to a balcony offering scenic views. The living area has DSTV, WiFi and a fireplace.

Groeneveld farm retreat

A simple retreat situated in an artist's garden under the Drakensberg Mountains. Stay in a thatched rondavel with own shower and toilet, decorated with touches of South-African art and craft. Security is provided by our friendly dogs and an electric fence. WiFi is available. Activities in the area include hikes, cycling, rafting and The Drakensberg boys Choir, all within a 30-45 min drive. The nearest restaurant is in Winterton , 5 min away.
