At Sukoon Homestay, your day starts with the melodious chirping of birds while the the first rays of the sun fall onto the stone walls and slate roofs of your private cottage. Your breakfast consists of local Kumaoni Cuisine made up of fresh vegetables and fruits grown organically on the extensive organic farms.

Nestled within the reserve forest of Nainital, with a stream flowing alongside, majestic mountains views and birdsong as your alarm, it doesn't get better for a romantic getaway or a peaceful workcation.The cottage is a 900 mtr easy hike from the road.

All rooms have attached bath with hot/cold running water, power backup on selected points and bathroom(electric/solar) and wifi with speed upto 50 Mbps. We offer nature & village walk & guest can also enjoy bathing in the river stream (1 km of walk)

The last 7 years have been an incredible learning experience. Since we moved to the village, the priorities have changed. There was a sense of discovery in everything we did. There were chai-filled conversations with elders and young turks and stories on how homes and communities were built. It's these learnings that led us to build these earth homes. Kumaon has been a great teacher. And we hope we've done justice to her sustainable ways.

Kaaya's attic room is a twin story mud earth house, connected by an external staircase with one washroom on the ground floor. The campus has ample free sit-out spaces. It's perfect for families, couples, and solo travelers. Homegrown food in the nature cafe and peaceful surroundings will just make you stay longer ;) Remember, Air Conditioning (AC) is not available in any room. Ground floor is earth cooled and only a fan is sufficient
