Deer amble through the property; eagles soar and keep an eagle eye on everything. Turkeys, squirrels, coons, and myriad of birds go about their business in this serene environment. Our little piece of heaven is located 9 miles NW of Viroqua, WI. Our yurt is nestled in 14 acres of red /white oak, walnut and maples above the Bad Axe River. The yurt is 300 sq. ft, comfortably sleeps 4, pet friendly and has a large wrap around deck. We have a wood burning stove, propane cooking stove top, a fully stocked kitchen galley, 8 gallons of drinking / cooking water, propane and fire pit grill, there's an extra deck with picnic table, manual shower and composting toilet.

This apartment was added to the back of our detached garage about 10 years ago. Low or no VOC products were used throughout construction. Brand new appliances installed with an oven big enough to cook the biggest turkey I’ve ever dreamed of. Spectacular ridge top views and beautiful starry nights. Hiking and cross country ski trails on the property of about 75 acres. Pick hazelnuts in the fall, collect and boil your own maple sap in the spring and pick blueberries in the summer.

You are in the heart of Amish country and the goings and comings of their agrarian lives give a sense of another time. 1/4 mile walk down the road, at the nearest Amish neighbor, you can buy produce in season and eggs.

Our convenient in-town one-bedroom has recently been converted! One room has a queen bed, other room as a comfy fold out couch. It has a well-equipped kitchenette with a sink, microwave, apartment fridge/freezer, Kuerig coffee maker and more. It also has a full bath. This apartment is on Main Street and can be a bit noisy from the traffic during the day and in the morning. It is generally quieter at night but bring earplugs if this bothers you.
