Nearby the Clutha and Manuherikia rivers offer boating, fishing, swimming and even gold panning.

With the famous trout fishing river the Waikaia River just a short (800m) walk from the doorstep, it's easy to take some time out for a fish or a walk. Waikaia and Piano flat are just up the road. Piano Flat is a hidden gem with the locals as some of the best hunting, fishing, walks and many more activites of the area.

After cycling & exploring this wonderful region, take a swim in the shallows of the Clutha River (access at the bottom of our site) or relax in the sun on your own balcony. Your well behaved dog is welcome too!

Nearest town is Winton 10 mins away , with supermarket, choice of places to eat or takeaway. A great spot in central Southland 2 hr Queenstown, 45 min Invercargill, 1hr 10 Te Anau, 35 m Riverton Beach
