The house is tastefully decorated by the furniture design owners based in Los Angeles, many of the pieces collected from their travels. It is owned by local Wairoa people who want to see more people visiting this beautiful part of the world. The house is sited on a ridge with a magnificent view down a valley towards the Wairoa township. It is situated in a quiet semi-rural area about 4 minutes drive to the town centre.
