Relaxing private bush retreat Cottage Rustigue

Unwind and relax in this little home away from home. Rustigue is a play of words: ‘rustig’ is Dutch for tranquil; the style of the cottage is ‘rustic’ with a combination of all things to love: old, new, done up. The cottage is surrounded by rimu trees, native bush and ferns. It is well away from the main house and has its own driveway, so you have total privacy. Stingray Cottage - Self-contained , private

The one-bedroom cottage is a tranquil haven with a separate kitchen/living area which faces the vege garden. There's an occasional train. Private entrance and off-street parking outside the door. Heating/aircon. Breakfast - muesli, yogurt, toast, egg and Nespresso coffee We are very close to the centre of the historic town and heritage buildings. Easy access to the river walkway and shops. Supermarket and cafes are a 5 minute stroll. Thermal hot pools are 5 minutes away. Pets are welcome.

Snells Beach is about an hour's north of Auckland and perfect for a quiet relaxed getaway. There are plenty of things to do nearby from visiting charming country cafes and wineries, or shopping at the local farmer's markets, or even taking a day trip to explore Kawau Island. If you want to explore or relax closer to the cottage, the beach is only 500m away.

We are 15 mins drive on sealed roads to amenities in both Mangawhai and Wellsford, 8 mins to the Te Arai surf beach turnoff and 12 minutes to the Te Arai Links course.
