Nearby multiple wilderness areas, superb mountain stream fishing, small lake fishing, swimming area & beach, wildlife management areas & miles of trails offer tons of natural amenities and outdoor opportunities.

Wolf Cottage

Escape to our charming, newly renovated guest house, set far from the main road on spacious, quiet grounds. Enjoy untouched forest, a small stocked pond, a deck, and a fire pit. Our clean, comfortable cottage features a full kitchen, luxurious sofas, wifi and streaming from Discovery+ and Netflix. We're committed to ensuring an awesome stay with responsive hosting. Featuring one queen size bed, a full sized futon, a full size couch & a fold out twin size bed in the living room, a washer & dryer, all kitchen appliances, and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you’ll need to stay in and cook. The Red Dog Chalet Couples Retreat w/ Hot Tub

Trailer access pull-thru private parking area with a beautiful lighted walking bridge that leads you to the chalet. A beautiful getaway with a spiral staircase leading you to the 2nd story covered porch with a wraparound walking deck. Large firepit area with dried fire wood. Large 12ft by 12ft hammock beside fire pit area. Two person copper tub; private outdoor shower; hot tub and large bed swing. Loft bedroom. Free WIFI. Park Series charcoal grill outside. Buffalo Mt trailhead 1/2 mile.

The Channels Off Grid Retreat

Relax in a charming mountainside off-grid cabin at the border of the 4800-acre Channels State Forest. Close to the trailhead of the Brumley Mountain Trail, this cabin is a 3-mile hike from The Channels—a Natural Area Preserve home to a maze of breathtaking 400-million-year-old sandstone outcroppings and a rich, diverse forest ecosystem. The newly-renovated cabin offers the tranquility of the forest and proximity to some of the countries most awe-inspiring and well-preserved forestland.

Warrior Trail Lodging, LLC The Caretta Cottage

Located approximately 6 minutes to War, WV and HMT trailhead. A Short, nice ride to the Wilmore Dam, and to High Rocks. NEW ADDITIONAL PARKING FOR LARGE TRAILERS across the street from the Cottage. In addition to approximately 50 ft. in front, 40 ft. in back, 30 ft. on the side of the cottage. SEE PARKING PHOTOS. We are on Rt 16, part of the ”Head of the Dragon” Motorcycle Riding Route in Caretta, WV. You will have easy on/off access to “Warrior Trail” from Caretta or War.

Come enjoy quiet seclusion on a 210 acre farm located 5 miles from Winterplace ski resort and Weathered Grounds Brewery and only 3 miles off the Ghent exit! Self check-in on a private half mile long road. Feed the fish with two ponds full of blue gill, coy, bass and catfish. Hike or mountain bike on miles of trails throughout the property! Then come drink hot chocolate next to the fireplace, or have a glass of wine while watching the sunset on the covered porch!

We are an ATV friendly town and House is located in quiet friendly neighborhood with plenty of parking.
