With no distractions and plenty of quiet beauty, it’s a place to slow down, reconnect, and make memories that last a lifetime. It is important to note that this house is "off grid". There is electricity and wi-fi internet, but was designed with the idea of being able to get away and relax. Heat and appliances are all propane.

Enjoy all seasons on Pleasant River Lake. There are nearby ATV trails, snowmobile trails, hiking, fishing, or just enjoying the peace and quiet the area offers. The property is located about 45-50 minutes from the Bangor area, Ellsworth area, Calais and the Canadian border. Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park is about an hour and a half drive, Schoodic Peninsula is about 45-50 min and the Milbridge and Cherryfield areas are about 25-30 minutes from the house. House is fully stocked.

Kayaks are provided to explore island studded 462 acre Jones pond, a 10 minute walk down a trail. A 10 minute drives brings you to the less visited Schoodic section of Acadia NP, where a network of hiking and biking trails lace the coastal forests and dramatic rocky coast. Nearby Winter Harbor has shops and restaurants and even a ferry across the bay to Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island.
