The Retreat Cabin on the Lake at Marmutt Woods

Our goal is rest and renewal for our guests so they return home ready to serve others and encouraged to spend regular time in prayer and God's Word. Relaxing is also a part of renewal so on-site activities and the surrounding communities offer plenty of recreation and tourism opportunities. Marmutt Woods is a place to step out of daily distractions to relax and refocus. Even if you are here primarily for some other reason, we hope you'll take advantage of the quiet time and provided materials.

Fisherman & outdoor enthusiasts dream place. 5 acres on Iron Lake for your family, friends, and dogs to enjoy. Ski Brule, snowmobiling, wildlife, hiking, and so many more things to enjoy. Very private. This lake is great for kayaking, canoeing,and fishing. You can swim off the dock,but there are some lily pads. The water is clear,but the bottom of the lake is mucky at shore. Great for dogs. Kayaks, canoe, & paddle boat available at your own risk. In winter, best to have AWD vehicle.

Sit by the campfire, enjoy the Sauna, or have a coffee beside the fireplace. We want you to enjoy this place as much as we do!

North Woods Pristine Lake Paradise!

** Note - This wonderful northwoods cabin rents for a minimum of 3 consecutive nights. ** Your own private guest cabin on 6 private acres overlooking crystal clear Big Portage Lake. Sand beach, canoes, kayak, great lake views! Refrig, coffee maker, microwave and toaster, but no kitchen (great restaurants nearby). Come and go as you please. Host is usually on property, residing in main house. Kids over 8 years welcome. NO pets, jet-skis, ATVs, fireworks, loud music or powerboats, please.

Our property offers a Peaceful Getaway in a Resort Setting on a Quiet Lake. "Great Location", "Amazing Views", "Clean", "Cozy", "Perfect", "Peaceful", "Comfortable", and "Relaxing" are what we repeatedly hear from our guests after their stay. The Heart of Vilas County Bike Trails and numerous Hiking trails are just minutes away. The #5 Snowmobile/ATV trail runs across the front of the property along Hwy 51 and we are surrounded by many area lakes and the Northern Highland State Forest.

Wintergreen Cabin #1 on Moen Lake Chain

When you think Northern WI cabin stay, this is exactly what they should be. Small 700 square foot cabin sitting on the Moen Lake Chain just a few miles east of Rhinelander. Easy access via blacktop road that takes you right to the place. It offers 56 ft of water frontage. A small public boat landing right in front, makes it easy to get on and off the water. A new dock to tie it up for the evening on those summer stays, and drive out (at own risk) on the ice for those winter months.

14 acres of seclusion, private lake, 5 kayaks

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, secluded cabin right off the trails on 14 wooded acres with frontage on private Deer Lake. BBQ or grill out on the massive wooden deck and take a short hike down the sandy hill and through the wooded path to the clear, shallow lakefront, perfect for swimming or kayaking on Deer Lake. We have 4 adult kayaks and 1 youth kayak. Build a fire right by the house OR down at the lakefront in either of the two firepits, wood provided!

This carriage-house apartment can sleep up to five in a bedroom, full size hide-a-bed in living room, and loft area. Canoe is available for use.
