Niharika, The Old Place

She's a grand old lady, restored with care: her stairs creak, her doors don't quite close, her floors have the patina of a hundred years. Outside, the wind rises and the tall trees sway like drunks going home. To the north, the Himalayas beckon as the fireplace warms cold fingers after a walk to the monastery up the hill. Lalit Cottage

This home is situated in the outskirts of Santiniketan, next to a tribal village, near the known saturday market and closed by an ayurvedic center.The nice garden hosts lot of trees and birds. The confortable house is made of brick, mud and wood. The upstairs terrace offer a relaxing spot to enjoy the nature. The fireplace in the living room gives warmth in the wintertime. To precise: as it is in the nature, during summer and moonsoon there can be ants, and frogs entering in the bathroom.

Earthhome - Created Through Love

Our EarthHome is a tranquil retreat nestled within a lush green 0.8-acre permaculture farm, Dularia. It is constructed using locally sourced natural materials and 0% cement. Our farm is just 10 km from the UNESCO World Heritage site, Shantiniketan. Following the traditional village design, our Earthhome has a courtyard with an outdoor toilet/bathroom block, fireplace, and mud/bamboo kitchen. Our hosting team can cook delicious, farm-fresh Santhal tribal or Bengali meals for you on request.

Panorama. A Heritage Bungalow

‘Panorama’ where the last King of Burma’s second daughter spent an idyllic life in exile from 1947 onwards. She lived here with her husband till April 4, 1956. It is a beautiful property with a 180 degree view of the Himalayan range during the months when there is no haze. One can also see the western part of Kalimpong town. It's an almost 100 years old bungalow built during the British Raj. It is well maintained with polished floorboards and red oxide floors and fire places.

Our nest 'Dui Pakhi'(Two Birds),a place where joy frees your mind and fills it with tranquility. It's a beautiful homestay at Santiniketan.(within 5 kilometers from Bolpur Station). We rent our entire first floor which has a spacious room with attached bathroom and dressing space. The most attractive place is our wide porch with a open terrace with a pantry. Places of interest can be accessed easily from our place. Sonajhuri haat is within 1km from our nest.
