The cottage is situated in a quiet location in the market town of Tavistock. It is within walking distance to the town where you will find award-wining restaurants and pubs, a market and independent shops. Only two miles to Dartmoor National Park. A Victorian miners' cottage, part of the Tamar Valley World Heritage Site, it is cosy and refurbished to a high standard. Springfield Cottage - Cosy Medieval Hall House

Springfield Cottage is a few steps away from the centre of Chagford, a unique and historic town on Dartmoor. One of oldest properties in the town, it is a warm and welcoming house full of period features dating back to medieval times, including a large inglenook fireplace. A small frontage with lots behind! It has all modern comforts including a fully equipped kitchen and a separate wet-room style shower room with under-floor heating. Off-road parking (better suited to small to mid sized cars).

Dartmoor itself is also accessible by foot or a few minutes in the car. The sandy beaches of North Devon are a 40 minute drive away if you fancy a surf!

On your return to the cottage, relax in the deep, deep bath with a bottle of fizz, listen to vinyl on the record player or sink into the sofa and read a book.

This is a perfect base to explore the South West and Dartmoor. There is a clawfoot bath with a separate wet room shower (not visible in photos). Please note, there are no laundry fascilities.
