Gorge Cottage, a newly refurbished traditional farmhouse dating back 150 years, offers stunning views overlooking a scenic gorge. A perfect stay for those who appreciate the beauty of the African bushveld as the farm's surrounds is abundant with indigenous fauna and flora. The farmhouse's traditional architecture sets a welcoming tone with a mix of vintage charm and modern conveniences whilst offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The Donkey Dairy Cottage - Farm Stay

The Donkey Dairy is one of a kind! Nestled on the slopes of the majestic Magaliesberg, this working donkey farm is home to a variety of friendly farm animals. On your visit you will be greeted by our alpacas, chickens, donkeys, horses, goats and even camels. If you would like to replace your cell phone’s morning alarm with the crowing of roosters or replace the hooting of cars with the braying of donkeys, the solar powered Donkey Dairy Cottage is the place for you! Ancient Earth Homestead on Bluebird Game Estate

Alto Log Cabin

Set on a protea farm in the heart of the Cradle of Humankind, Alto Cabin provides tranquil and relaxing accommodation for up to 4 people in a self catering log cabin. Guests have the option of either unwinding and enjoying the spectacular views from the cabin; visit the many fossil sights and museums in the area; embark on a 4x4 trail nearby or enjoy a horseback safari through the neighbouring reserve on one of our guided horse trails, suitable for the beginner or the more experienced rider.

Red Earth on Kokopelli Farm

If you and your family need a quiet, peaceful breakaway then Red Earth farmhouse. We are just across the border in North West We are a child friendly venue. There is still small buck, baboons, porcupines, monkeys, rabbits and a variety of bird species on the farm. 3 bedrooms, main has king, 2nd has double, 3rd has 2 single beds. Note that the host's living space is attached to Red Earth. He has a separate entrance and does not infringe on your private space.

Porcupine house

A compact house situated amongst the trees in a pecan nut orchard. This stylish unit is on the Melody Hill Retreat property - Yoga classes and kahuna massages can be arranged on arrival. Feel free to walk in the pecan nut orchard or to walk through the labyrinth. You're bound to spot monkeys, bush babies, squirrels, porcupines and lots of hornbills during your stay. Enjoy perfect winter days next to the wood-burning fireplace.
