Kuaotunu beach is only 2 minutes walk away and even in summer never gets crowded. 10 mins walk to the Kuaotunu village where you will find the famous Luke's Kitchen restaurant, Kua Kawhe Cafe and the well stocked general store. Sleepy Studio Driving Creek

Self-contained studio at Driving Creek, on the outskirts of Coromandel Town. Perfect for two people with its comfy queen-sized bed, it also has a sofa bed for two children or another adult. There is a small kitchen area with microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and electric wok. The shower room with toilet is for your exclusive use. The studio has a barbecue, outdoor gas hob and outdoor seating area with views of the orchard, paddocks and Coromandel Ranges.

Coromandel Sanctuary

Situated on the crest of the Coromandel ranges on the 309 road. Mahakirau Forest Estate comprises almost 600 ha of native forest. Each site is convenated by QEII National Trust who describe Mahakirau "outstanding for it's ecology and wildlife value with brown kiwi, kaka, Hochsetetter's and Archey's frogs all present". A spacious house in a bush setting, sit back and relax, take a bush walk down to the stream on the property and star gaze at night.
