The Sparta House is located in downtown Sparta but with almost an acre right on the Calfkiller River, you'd never know it! It's the best of both worlds. Walk to great coffee shops and pottery studios or fish from the back yard or bird watch from the sun room. There are many amazing waterfalls and superior hiking spots all within a 15 minute drive. Fall Creek Falls, Virgin Falls, Burgess Falls, Rock Island, Sunset Rock, Lost Creek Falls and Cummins Falls are all just a short drive away.

You will feel alone in the world at the cottage. 1 1/2 hours from Nashville, Knoxville, or Chattanooga. We have tons of hiking, kayaking & State Parks within less than an hour of the cottage. Virgin Falls State Park is 7. 6 miles for hiking. Rock Island is 27.8 miles for kayaking. Make memories, relax, & enjoy the adventures!!

River Playground

This tiny cabin on the mountain side is near multiple state parks and even a privately owned cavern. There is a small kitchen area inside the cabin. Down at the river there is a full dining area, a grill, and a full size refrigerator. About 5 minutes down river there is a boat launch where you are able to put your boat in the water and tie it up at the dock, at the cabin, during your stay. There is a high jump, a rope swing, and slide for hours of fun!

This private and wooded fifty acre property includes includes a collection of two pioneer built cabins (moved and rebuilt at this location in 2003) and a treehouse that together, can accommodate up to 14 guests and offer a cozy sanctuary for connecting with friends and family, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and the peaceful beauty of nature.
