Mill Cottage: Captivating Riverside 1 Bed Cottage

This beautiful cottage is situated in an idyllic location; listen to the gurgling river as you sit on the decking or drift off to sleep. One minute's walk away over a Victorian swing bridge is an enchanting pebble beach. Here you may see seals, dolphins, salmon, and plenty of seabirds depending on the season. Ideally placed for the North Coast 500, this modernised cottage is warm and cosy with central heating and hot water provided by a biomass boiler, and a wood burning stove for cooler nights.

This fully furnished one bedroom, first floor flat is beautifully situated overlooking Wick Harbour and has views out to Wick Bay and beyond. It is within walking distance of all local amenities including shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The award winning Wick Heritage Museum and the famous Old Pulteney Distillery are within a short stroll. There are also beautiful coastal and river walks within the area where you may be able to catch sight of whales, dolphins, puffins and many other animals.

The Lighthouse Keeper’s cottage is a light and cosy hideaway, set on a headland with sea on three sides – you can even see a ruined castle out of the kitchen window! Sustainability and inclusion were first on my mind when we furnished the Cottage, and I am proud to hold the Scottish LGBTQ+ Rainbow Mark and that we have earned a Gold award for Green Tourism.

Torran Cottage is nestled within a UNESCO World Heritage Site - The Flow Country! Whilst superbly modernised throughout, the cottage retains its original features, including wonderful flagstone flooring, deep-silled windows set into thick stone walls, and a large wood burner for cosy evenings. The views from the hot tub and gardens are unbelievable. Panoramic vistas look east to Morven and the Scarabens, south to Ben Klibreck and west to distant views of Ben Loyal and Ben Hope.

Firthview Holiday Cottage, Canisbay, John o'Groats

Firthview is located in a peaceful area from which to base yourself for an active holiday or relaxing retreat. Located just off the NC500 route in was completely refurbished in 2021. It sleeps 4 people and is available to rent all year round. This coastal cottage is part of a traditional croft-based smallholding in Caithness with views of the Pentland Firth, Orkney Islands and surrounding countryside.

In the small hamlet of Brims two miles from the village of Longhope on the island of Hoy, with general store/post office and Health Centre. Easy access to coastal walks bird watching, fishing and ferry terminal. Near to the Longhope Lifeboat Museum and other island attractions.

Harbour View Apartment is right next to the Wick Harbour and Marina. Build in the 18th century with a Barometer on the outside wall to advise fishermen of weather changes.Guests have full use of the entire apartment. Electric heating, electric shower. 1 large bedroom with 2 single beds and a double sofa bed in the living room . Fully equipped kitchen with use of washing machine and tumble drier.

Just a stones throw from the city centre of Wick, this Northerly cottage sits beautifully off the A99, making it the perfect destination for those taking on the stunning NC500 route. Drumdry has recently completed a HUGE renovation and this historic little cottage has bags to offer family and friends. Sitting adjoined to an old steading building, we love the history that this property holds.

Pentland View Caravans is part of the John O Groats caravan and camping site. Situated in the heart of John O Groats on the North Coast 500 with breathtaking views across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands making it a perfect base to explore Caithness and Sutherland. The Swift Burgundy static caravan is 28 ft x 10ft. There is 1 double bed and 4 2 foot 6 inch single beds.
