Named after our 5-pound Pomeranian, Rooster who lives upstairs, our property is pet friendly with plenty of space to walk and enjoy the outdoors. There’s a small creek which runs along the property. West Jefferson, Boone, Moravian Falls and many ski areas are within close proximity as well! Please come enjoy this oasis in the foothills!

Hurricane Helene Update: We are incredibly fortunate that our property did not suffer damage from the storm and the main roads to and from our home are accessible. Internet and power have been restored, and our property is ready to offer a lovely refuge for anyone needing a temporary place to stay. We are devastated by the losses experienced in Western NC and encourage any locals to reach out with a message prior to booking if you want to spend a few days at the Hemlock. We want to help.

Unwind in the evenings with a glass of wine on the porch or a relaxing soak in the hot tub.

Amazing views in this private and gated mountain community. Enjoy the fresh mountain air as you walk down to community waterfall or take a five minute drive to the public swimming beach on Kerr Lake. The Ayer’s House is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Wilkesboro, NC. You will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. W. Kerr Scott Reservoir is 4 miles away and offers fishing, swimming and boating. If mountain biking is your thing, drive across the dam and you will find top notch riding at the Dark Mountain Park. Downtown Wilkesboro is just 2.5 miles away and offers several restaurants, shops and the Wilkes Heritage Museum.

Come and stay in our unique quonset hut just 15 minutes to Boone! This is a half circle metal building turned into a unique tiny home cabin experience. This 400 sq ft space has everything you need including a bedroom, bathroom and upstairs kids loft. The main area has colorful wood details and an accent wall with 100 year old barn wood right from our own farm. The water is straight from a natural spring up our mountain. This space is ideal for couples, and two kids.
