Big R's Retreat Secluded and located in Nature

Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

Nestled in the trees, our charming log cabin is located 25 minutes North of the Wisconsin Dells and less than 10 minutes from Castle Rock Lake, Wisconsin River, and Quincy Bluff State Park. Come relax, unplug, and get away from it all. Enjoy the fresh air, starry nights, and peaceful nature sounds. Our 9 acre property offers a beautiful trail that leads to gorgeous sunset views, through the forest. A true nature-lover's paradise!

Yuba State Bank Apartment

The Yuba State Bank Apartment is the lower front apartment in a 4-unit commercial brick building. The historically renovated space has a mix of old and new, with hardwood floors, large storefront windows, a full kitchen and bathroom, and the bank vault off one of the two bedrooms. The apartment is located in the quaint village of Yuba (pop. 53), which is the smallest incorporated village in Wisconsin, 15 minutes (11 miles) from Hillsboro. You can grab a drink and meal next door at The Still.

Classic Arts & Crafts bungalow with colorful finishes, well-stocked kitchen, and relaxing front porch and sunroom. Downtown Wonewoc is just blocks away with several bars, coffee and ice cream parlor and even fine dining. The “400”bike trail and Baraboo River pass directly through town. Opportunities abound for hiking/biking/canoeing or just exploring the countryside.

Our cozy cabin in the Driftless Region near Wisconsin Dells offers a peaceful nature escape. Accented with stained glass, it features a lofted reading nook, vintage books, DVDs, puzzles, and quirky décor. Relax in hammock chairs overlooking a wooded ravine where wildlife often wander by. A stone-stepped trail leads down to a private boat dock with swimming, SUPs, kayaks, and a canoe. Enjoy the Zen garden loop, wildflowers, and games, indoors or out. A perfect spot to unwind and explore.

The Brewery House

Fully Renovated | 5 Bedrooms | 3.5 Baths | Sleeps 20 Fully Equipped Kitchen | Bedding & Towels Provided Walking Distance to Hillsboro Brewing Co. & willow+oak The house is the original Brewer's house from the early 1900s. During the renovation in 2022 special care was taken to preserve its unique charm. The kitchen & conversation pit have vaulted ceilings and the reading nook can also serve as a cozy home office. This home is spacious and open making it ideal for large gatherings.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. You will find this cozy house can be your home away from home. Cook in a kitchen ready to host if you so choose. Pans, plates, cups, bowls are provided. You will find the brand new bedding modern and comfortable. Bathroom linens, coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, washer/dryer also provided along with a/c, Wi-Fi and new 52 in tv. No smoking and no pets allowed. There's plenty of parking with the circle driveway.

Provisions for a simple country breakfast are included in your stay. This newly remodeled home with a 2 story layout provides plenty of room for up to 7 guests. Large backyard includes a firepit, as well as a view of the adjacent golf course. Large driveway to park in.

Ridgetop Retreat

Enjoy the natural beauty of the Driftless Area in Richland County Wisconsin. This is a well-appointed, four season country farmhouse on a fully operational farm. The access to the Richland County snowmobile trails is less than 5 miles away. Goats and chickens are out your front door. Deer, turkey, and other wildlife are in abundance. All county and township roads are open to UTV traffic. Enjoy tranquil star-filled skies all year long!
