1 Gloucester Cottages is nestled in the quaint mining village of Stanton Drew in the Chew Valley, Somerset, The village is home of the prehistoric Stanton Drew stone circles, the second largest stone circle in Britain after Avebury. The cottage is great for families and couples, it has a fully equipped kitchen and is furnished through out, a king sized bed and double with all linen included. We have fast wifi, parking and an open working fireplace for those cosy nights in with a bottle of red.

Tucked away on the outskirts of sleepy Lympsham, enjoy the countryside around you whilst resting your legs after walking the renowned mendips. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. Two of the three bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Downstairs a large entertaining and dining area leads to the a fully equipped kitchen. A utility room with washer and dryer leads to a shower room. There is a snug with large tv and a selection of games and books. French doors lead to a fabulous outdoor seating area

The cottage are only a few minutes’ drive from places of interest like Bath, Bristol, Wells, Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills. Even the famous Cotswolds are only a 30 minute drive away. With many walks to choose from directly from the cottage it is also the perfect spot for nature lovers who would like to leave the car. The cottages are a within walking distance from Keynsham trainstation (free parking close by) and the town centre with lots of pubs, restaurants, shops and supermarkets.

Our beautiful hamlet is very quiet with great walks from the door. We do run a working farm so you may occasionally hear that in action. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

Ultra fast fibre broadband is a recent addition for guests needing to work from the cottage or simply surf the internet .
