We're a Dutch couple whose lodge is nestled in the mountains of Madarao in Japan. Our lodge provides capacity for a max of 20 guests divided over 5 units. Our cozy, comfortable space makes for a great base to explore the mountains around the region. During winter, we offer private ski/snowboarding lessons, and side and backcountry guiding. We cater to guests during all other seasons too and offer fine dining experiences during your stay. We aim to create the perfect vacation experience for you!

Built in 1924, this folkhouse in the traditional Echigo Chumon-zukuri has been beautifully restored using ceramics. On the first floor, you’ll find ceramic artworks such as an irori (sunken hearth), kamado (traditional stove), washbasin, and bath each crafted by Japan’s leading ceramic artists. This space also serves as a gallery-restaurant, where local dishes are served on handmade tableware. The second floor features a ceramic exhibition area. Please come enjoy a cozy countrside stay.

The traditional house, over 100 years old, has all guest rooms in Japanese style, and from inside the building, you can enjoy seasonal views of the distant mountains. Relax leisurely in a setting that feels just like returning to the countryside, in the charming and nostalgic atmosphere of Japan’s old hometown.

Made of Natural Straw Block with Muddy Soil Wall , inside room plastered , all through the season, Humidity and Room Temperature are naturally controlled comfortable . Breakfast is included in your stay. If requested, dinner can be served for 2,500 yen , with a drink per person included. (Children's rates are discounted depending on age) We can also provide vegetarian and gluten-free meals. Additionally, the majority of the vegetables we serve are home-grown and pesticide-free.

The second floor has large windows that bring in warm sunlight even in winter. You can relax on the window bench with a book or nap in the cozy back area. An Anker Nebula Capsule II projector is installed, turning the blinds into a screen. Unlike the third floor’s calm, earthy tone, this space feels warm and welcoming—great for families with kids. The sofa becomes an extra bed, and the kitchen is fully equipped for those who enjoy cooking during their stay.

An onsen Inn that stands quietly in Kusatsu-onsen area. Wooribow Ryokan is a small, cute ryokan withan image of an "Uribo(baby boar)". The inn is decorated in a modern Japanese style with free-flowing hot spring water of Yubatake . Please enjoy the quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Smoking is not permitted inside or outside the inn.

We are a small inn called"wooribow-ryokan nakadouri eurrabow", located in a back alley one step from Chuo-dori Street leading to Yubatake. There are two spacious private family baths in the building, which you can enjoy freely as many times as you like without. We hope you will take the time to enjoy the free-flowing hot spring water from the Yubatake source.
