Miss Dorothy purchased the 8700 square foot home in June of 2001 with hopes of someday turning the home into a Bed and Breakfast. Although, during her ownership she was not able to open the home as a Bed and Breakfast she used the home as an art studio and converted the Carriage house into her doll shop.
